BERLIN, October 13, 2026. CEEZER, the leading platform for Climate Performance Assets, launched an update to CEEZER Prism, its standard-setting risk product, that gives carbon buyers objective, data- and expert-backed reference points when evaluating, comparing, and selecting carbon projects today. Developed in close collaboration with customers across a wide range of buyer profiles, the updates bring in-depth peer benchmarking, expanded risk dashboards, and more complete project profiles directly onto the CEEZER Platform.
The first real peer comparison in the carbon market
Many buyers compare carbon projects today in offline spreadsheets they build and maintain themselves, based on data that does not allow for direct comparison. CEEZER's new peer comparison replaces that work with real-time peer group data on the platform. Buyers can group projects by current offers, country, region, project type, or a custom selection, and view each project's risk scores against the live averages and ranges of its peers.

Data-backed risk insights in plain language
Every CEEZER risk dashboard now pairs a transparent, quantitative evaluation with expert assessment from CEEZER's in-house Risk team, written in plain language. Reports include detailed scores for quality, delivery, and country risk based on live, dynamic data, alongside a concise project overview. Buyers can start from the summary and dig into the details behind any score when they need to.
“Project risk isn’t static, and the way we assess it shouldn’t be either,” said Dr. Natalie Steinemann, Head of Climate Intelligence and Risk at CEEZER. “On CEEZER’s Platform, buyers can see live risk data for each project, what is driving it, and how it compares to similar projects, along with our team’s read on what matters most.”

Comprehensive project profiles for simplified assessment
CEEZER's project profiles now bring together what buyers need to evaluate a project across risk, delivery profile, and framework eligibility. This includes issuance details, crediting periods, compliance status, methodology, registry, and market labels. CEEZER's risk assessment appears alongside third-party ratings and verified sustainability data, and independently verified project data is clearly separated from supplier claims.
Why it matters for carbon buyers
"Carbon buyers are being asked to justify every project they select, to their boards, their auditors, and increasingly to regulators," said Magnus Drewelies, CEO of CEEZER. "Until now, much of that work has happened in spreadsheets, with risk data that is hard to read in isolation. Our updated risk offering gives buyers a clear reference point: How does a project compare to its peers, what drives its risk profile, and which data has been independently verified. Answering these questions efficiently means less time on manual research, as well as procurement decisions buyers can stand behind."
All features are available now on the CEEZER Platform. CEEZER invites customers and carbon buyers to see them in action at a live webinar on October 28, 2026. Register here.
